I thought the production of Peter Pan was good. But just good. The use of glitter was great, haha. The "flying" was interesting to watch, especially when the kid that played Michael said "Ouch" into his mic as he got lifted up. I honestly think our theatre could have done a better job at putting on this play. What was bad? It was just dorky, I guess is the best way to put it. During each intermission, a group of us had to comment on all the lame things or the things that they messed up on. It's a little sad when the thing that got the biggest laugh, Clark announcing that he believed, had nothing to do with the characters. Maybe we were being hyper-critical, but as Larissa G. put it, we were being critics! If I was the director, I would have tried to find someone better to play Michael, because he could have been better. As I said the "flying" was neat. There isn't a huge connection between this post and the ones I did earlier, because I mainly talked about make-up, and this play had make-up, but in most cases it wasn't super important, at least not in my opinion.

  1. So i agree with you about OUCH... oh excuse me I hit my foot, but anyway I agree with you about the glitter definitely!!! You can never have enough Glitter... well maybe you can, but in very rare cases!! Yeah I never noticed until you just said it now, but Clark was the funniest thing about the play and he wasn't even part of it!!! How pathetic is that???? lol
But, I still liked it way better than I thought I would. And, also the 2nd funniest thing in the play wasn't even supposed to happen.... the whole "ouch" scenario!!!
But, you do have to admit that this was great compared to last year's disaster they put on!!! This was a breath of fresh air compared to the Wizard of Oz munchkins that were bigger than Dorothy was!!!!!!!!! SHEESH!!!

  2. Sarah I agree with you completly. The Glitter was great, the more the better. And Peter Pan was tooooooo old. You could see his wrinkles from our seats. Its pretty bad when the best part was Clark yelling "I Believe!". Of course The Wizard Of Oz that we saw there last year wasn't the best either. Its messed up when the munchkins are taller thatn Dorthy. We are a bunch of critics, but when you can critique a play that much, its bad.
